Seattle officer in fatal shooting: 'I don't have a taser'
SEATTLE (AP) — A Seattle police officer involved in a fatal shooting asked his partner to use a stun gun on the woman authorities say was brandishing a knife, but police audio transcripts show the other officer said: "I don't have a taser."
US shoots down pro-Assad drone in Syria
A US fighter jet has shot down a pro-Syrian regime drone just outside the Syrian de-confliction zone, according to US Central Command (Centcom). Centcom said an American F-15E fighter jet shot down a drone that was advancing on Coalition forces in Southern Syria and "display[ing] hostile intent". "Given recent events, the Coalition will not allow pro-regime aircraft to threaten or approach in close proximity to Coalition and partnered forces," Centcom said in a statement.
