Arkansas judge barred from execution cases after protest
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A judge who lay on a cot as though he were a death row inmate on a gurney after issuing an order halting Arkansas' multiple execution plan was barred Monday from taking up any capital punishment-related cases and referred to a disciplinary panel.

SEATTLE (AP) — A man charged with killing five people at a mall in Washington state last year was found dead in his jail cell in an apparent suicide, authorities said Monday.
